Scaffolding Safety: From Erection to Inspection
Scaffold collapses and falls from scaffolds are among the most preventable incidents on any site. The controls are well known — the failures come from skipping them under pressure.

The scaffolding inspector course covers examining a completed or altered scaffold, identifying defects and non-conformities, and deciding whether it may be released for use.
A completed scaffold is inspected by a competent person before first use, after any alteration or adverse weather, and at regular intervals while it stays in use. The result is recorded and shown on a tag at the access point; a scaffold with no tag is treated as unsafe.
This course trains the people who sign those tags. Many scaffold falls happen during use, after a guardrail, board or tie has been quietly removed, so the inspector checks the structure against what the plan called for and decides whether it can be released.
