Training overview
This module covers rescue along the vertical length of the turbine. Teams perform rescues from the nacelle to the tower base, work through crawl spaces, and train rescue-up operations from the basement and lower tower.
This module forms part of GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART).

Competencies
- Determine a rescue strategy in nacelle, tower and basement environments
- Coordinate communication with external emergency response teams
- Carry out evacuation from the nacelle to the tower base
- Conduct rescue up operations
- Assess and plan single rescuer rescue
Safety and risk awareness
- Maximum fall factor of 0.5
- Minimum recommended anchor point height of 6.75 m
- Additional fall protection mandatory during training
- Nacelle mock-up limited to 3.0 m² contiguous floor space; crawl space 0.3–0.6 m height
